To Women
We celebrate and recognize the diverse and significant both
recent and historical achievements of women in our country and daily lives. We
as Streets-SA wish to show our appreciation with this poster. We believe that
this appreciation should not only be celebrated in the past month of August but
should become part of our heritage in the months to come including the month of
September as we celebrate our heritage.
Pangas can't SHOOT!
“Silence never won rights. They are not handed down from
above; they are forced by pressures from below”. – Roger Baldwin.
Are they striking about the work or they just want their
hard work to reflect on their pay. There are a lot of questions one can ask,
our question is “who’s side are you one”

Dead Ones
"Times change and people move forward but always revere the past, always remember and respect what was that brought us here". The ''Dead Ones'' is a series of images which try to capture old buildings before they are restored or sadly demolished to create new ones.
Architecture has a profound impact on how we react towards cities/towns and renovations like these can make or break psychological bonds we have with cities/town and their landscapes
The aim of this series is to make people aware of the changes around them. In this case the architectural changes of which play an important role in the interactions and relationships we all have with the cities/towns we live in.
It is important for the public to interact with these changes as they have a direct and an indirect influence on our daily lives from how we commute to where we choose to eat.
Society goes through changes and these can be seen through the architecture that has been left behind. These become part of our heritage.
It is interesting to note how society interacts to these buildings and the roles that they play in the daily lives of people.

Heads
Heads is a concept we came about while we working on another theme called "The Dead Ones" (coming soon), we were walking through the streets of Newtown (Johannesburg), and we decided to take pictures of the heads. The heads are carved from wood and give of different textures as they are exposed to the weather. Hope you enjoy !
